I got my platinum with this saveset last year, playing the game that was free for PS+ subscribers. It worked. Period.
Edit: I just used the saves with an alternate account. The game is on version 2.0. It works. It's important that you use the options file that comes with the save set. -

There is no step by step. Resign the saves with Bruteforce Save Data, copy them to your system and play. They'll only work with the European download version. -
